Food Preservation Class with Slow Food Lake Tahoe

There’s something good about learning to put up your own food ~ the kind of skill that gets passed down, not scrolled past. We’re teaming up with Slow Food Lake Tahoe for a hands-on food preservation class, right here at our Truckee café.

You’ll learn the basics of preserving and canning, and walk away with something you made yourself to take home. No experience needed ~ just curiosity and an appetite to learn.

Slow Food Lake Tahoe works to connect our community to good, clean, and fair food ~ growing hundreds of pounds of organic produce each summer for Sierra Community House and building out garden space for local growers and food access. This class is just the start ~ we’ll be hosting more with SFLT every quarter.
