This winter we share with you a special blend from three partners of De la Gente and Coffeebar: the Coffee Growers of San Miguel Escober, Ija’tz Cooperative, and Manuel Gómez.
Just like many birds fly south in the winter, “snowbirds” choose to escape the snow and ice in favor of a warmer, sunnier climate. As temperatures dip throughout the United States, this blend will bring you the warmth of Guatemalan coffee lands.
We created our Winter Blend with the goal of sharing more of the story of our work at origin. Guatemala holds a special connection for us and has been in a way the start of Coffeebar’s journey to ‘Vertical Sourcing,’ a more intentional methodology for our green coffee purchasing, tied in to our ever-expanding roasting program.
This year a portion of 12oz bag sold will be donated to Sky Tavern, to invest in one of Reno’s beloved non-profits / junior ski programs.
