We’re teaming up with Slow Food Lake Tahoe for a hands-on food preservation class\, right here at our Truckee café. \nYou’ll learn the basics of preserving and canning\, and walk away with something you made yourself to take home. No experience needed ~ just curiosity and an appetite to learn. \nWhat’s included \n\nA hands-on preservation lesson led by Slow Food Lake Tahoe\nAll materials provided\nTake home your own preserved/canned food\n\nTickets\n$20 per person ~ space is limited. Sign up and pay in advance at our Truckee (DT) location ONLY. \nSlow Food Lake Tahoe works to connect our community to good\, clean\, and fair food ~ growing hundreds of pounds of organic produce each summer for Sierra Community House and building out garden space for local growers and food access. SUMMARY:Guided Hikes – Spooner Summit
DESCRIPTION:For the November hike we’re heading to Spooner Summit portion of the Tahoe Rim Trail. Along with National Forest Ambassador Paige Land we’ll also have a representative of the Tahoe Rim Trail taking you through the local fauna and floral\, and some history of the area. \nCoffeebar will provide free Trailhead coffee 15 mins before the hike. \nThis hike sees clear views of Lake Tahoe. It’s a 4.5 mile out and back with roughly 930ft of elevation gain. \nPlease bring lots of water and suncream for this hike\, and appropriate hiking shoes recommended. \n  \n  \n

We have a limited amount of Snow Shoes to provide\, and have a limited amount of RSVPs for people that need them.
